The main topics of this website are feeding problems in infancy, especially feeding tube dependency and what to do to get rid of it. Tube dependency is defined as a state of an unintended long period of time during which a baby, infant or young child has a feeding tube and thereby avoids learning to eat by natural ways. It will thus show active resistance and refusal behaviour to all attempts of food offering and other well meant techniques aimed at becoming independent of the feeding tube and external nutritional regulation. Most of the little patients affected by this medical condition have been through months of intensive care after birth and many have been operated and needed surgical interventions.

Netcoaching

This website is currently the first and only site which offers an effective program for children with eating behaviour disorders by NET-coaching. Having its origins in our inpatient treatment program - by the support of which more than 800 tube dependent children over the past 20 years have been weaned successfully - this technique was developed specifically by our medical professionals and started online in summer 2009. During the first 6 months 23 of 23 infants from all over the world could successfully be treated by NET-coaching their parents with our expertise. With this method your child remains at home in it’s familiar environment and does not need to travel around the world in order to get the specific and excellent medical treatment he or she deserves.
This method can not be recommended for children whose underlying medical condition will need laboratory supervision during the weaning process (like Hyperinsulinism, Metabolic Disorders, Glycogen Storage Disease). In- or Outpatient Treatment

Furthermore, this website offers the possibility to register for the 3 week In-/Outpatient tube weaning treatment program of the Psychosomatic Division of the University Children's Hospital Graz in Austria. This is a public institution funded by the state of Austria and county of Styria and City of Graz. For the calculation of the individual treatment fees of each child by our financial department, we need your child's data which will be part of the registration process.
