How much does it cost?

Our experienced team of experts on the field of feeding disorders, nutritional questions and specifically tube weaning offers expertise and quality! Although we try to keep the costs for our patients as small as possible we have to charge fees for our services in order to cover our expenses and keep our work running sufficiently.

Registration fee
For all support offered for any questions in the field of feeding and eating disorders including the specific tube weaning program there's a registration fee of Euro 480.-* per child, which you have to transfer to the account stated in the eMail you receive after registration. This fee includes the scientific evaluation of data collected by our medical questionnaire you need to fill out right after registration and a short pre-assessment by our nutritional psychologists and doctors.

Additional fees
- depend on the type of therapy you choose during registration:

  • For our netcoached tube weaning program there's a participation fee of Euro 1.250.-* per child to add in. Netcoaching can start immediately after we receive your registration fee plus participation fee and the questionnaire with your specific information. There are no further costs and a 50% money-back guarantee of Euro 625.- if we should not be able to accomplish the goal of keeping your child stable without tube for one month or any other goal we decide on with you before starting.
  • A pre-assessment is included in our registration fee. However, for further online consultation, diagnostic procedures, second opinion or other services not included in the treatments mentioned above there's an additional fee of Euro 600.-* per child to be paid.
  • Fees for the inpatient or outpatient treatment are both calculated by the University Children's Hospital Graz . You can estimate about Euro 15.000.-* per child for inpatient treatment (including all fees of the specific program and accommodation in a parent-child room in the University Children's Hospital Graz) and about Euro 8500.-* per child for outpatient treatment (external accommodation needs to be organized). All further financial transactions after registration will be performed by the financial department of the University Children's Hospital Graz and their staff. Both, in- and outpatient treatment, take up to 3 weeks. Calculation can only be perfomed after registration.
  • On demand we offer the possibility of visiting a child in another hospital or at home, if the child is unable to travel. Therefore please follow the in- or outpatient registration process and contact us via our support ticket system. Transportation and housing of one of our staff members needs to be paid for.

*If payment for our services would be a financial burden for you and your family, we kindly ask you to contact us by tubeweaning@notube.at. We will endeavour to assist you to find a solution.
Please inquire at your bank institute about the current exchange rates from your currency to Euro.

E112
Children from European countries are entitled to apply for the E112, a form for medical cases of extreme specifity for which the home country of the child cannot offer medical help specific enough for the presenting problem. In these cases the child's health insurance covers the full in- or outpatient therapy. For more information on the E112 please ask your insurance consultant. In the case of applying for the E112 please also ask your child's physician to tell your insurance company that long term tube feeding, apart from hindering the child's own capacity to learn to eat by itself, will cost very much and is not free of various complications, which might even lead to more inpatient treatment.
