Hello Professor
We have now been back home for nearly too weeks and Lewis is doing really well he has now started to accept food from a spoon not always but he is getting there.
I would like to thank you and your amazing team for all your hard work. You are all really amazing. You told us things about Lewis after a weeks people here have never even mentioned. I am going to make it my personal mission that all children who need the kind of treatment you provide are able to come and get that help.
We took Lewis to Graz because he was refusing all solid food and he was slowly starting to reject his bottles also. He was having hardly any fluids at all. This meant he was having no wet nappies. This made some of our professionals think that perhaps he would need a tube to feed him some fluids. I and Lewis' dad decided that we did not want this to happen and so after seeing the TV programme with Tia on it we thought we would also go to Austria and see if the professor could help.
When we arrived in Graz i was really unsure that this was going to work as for a year people at home had been trying to get him to eat with no success On our first day in the hospital Lewis went to the play picnic and he absolutely loved every minute of it. He loves making a mess with the food. We were given a timetable of all the other therapies he would receive and we attended, Physio, Speech and Occupational therapies which were all amazing. We did not realise how much actually went into eating its not just about getting food into your child’s mouth it’s a whole developmental stage. Lewis has now come on fantastic he learnt so much there in one week we wished that we could stay there forever. We came to Graz with a baby and we left with a brand new little (messy) boy.
Thank you so so much professor and your team you are fantastic we will never forget our time in Graz and hope maybe to come again in the future for a holiday.
